Bionik 503 Custom Putter. Beautiful Full Mallet Zinc Custom Putter with
TPU insert for accurate strikes and better roll. The Bionik 503 Custom Putter is accurate and
forgiving.
The 500 series from Bionik all feature TPU inserts in the face. For some quick
"back to chemistry 101" TPU stands for Thermoplastic Polyurethane. Think of it as a kind of
designer rubber and you won't be far wrong.
The bit about TPU that interests us is the way in which it can be messed around
with to create a compound which is very stretchy, very tough and very, very uniform.
In fact, pretty much a perfect solution for a putter insert.
The Bionik 503 Custom Putter is a full mallet design with a circular rear
bar all the way round the perimeter. This makes the 503 a very high MOI putter, moving more weight
to the perimeter. Stable and forgiving.
Alignment dot on the topline and the contrasting frame on the rear wing
make lining the 503 up a breeze. The ball frames very nicely behind the putter face. Line the
dot up with the rear line and you're good to go.
The TPU insert gets the ball rolling right after impact. Skid is minimal which
should translate into more putts holed.
A lightweight mallet, the Bionik 503 custom putter is a great choice for anyone
looking for an easy to align putter and wants the soft feel of TPU face inserts.
